The new game in town: is it real or AI?

This game has been going around for a couple years now. But now that AI has gotten so much better the question is much more interesting.

A few weeks ago Scott over at Astral Codex Ten had a post on this theme. He posted a quiz asking participants to guess which of 50 artistic images were human or AI-generated. The results are fascinating. The official quiz is over, but you should try it out anyway.

That brings us to new from Sora, the text to video engine by OpenAI (makers of ChatGPT). You have to check it out. I’ve only looked around for a few minutes, but man – it is amazing.

I love dogs, so this one is A+ for me. This seahorse is amazing too.
